Tell us a bit about yourself and your academic background

Hi! I’m Tiffany, a final year Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Law student at UNSW. As a student of both finance and law, I have come to appreciate the broad spectrum of matters covered by both disciplines and have thus developed a strong interest in commercial law.

Tell us about your experience with Yegal. How did you find out about our services?

I’ve had an exceptional experience with Yegal. The team has helped me find work that aligns with my interests and career objectives. Throughout my experience, they have been very supportive through frequent check-ins and ensuring that I have settled in well. I found out about Yegal through my university careers portal.

What was the process once you applied?

I had an initial interview with Yegal, and later with the in-house Legal team at Hollard.

Since you got matched to a job, where have you been working and in what capacity?

I have been working at Hollard as a Paralegal, focusing on their Modern Slavery project.

What’s the best part about working for Hollard?

Working for Hollard, and specifically under the General Counsel, has been an overall amazing experience. I have gained insight into working on a project end-to-end, and was given a large amount of responsibility and ownership in the tasks that followed. I was given a variety of tasks that challenged me and accelerated my growth in both a personal and professional capacity.

What advice would you give to any students thinking of applying to Yegal Paralegal?

I would definitely recommend applying to Yegal Paralegal! In the past, I have struggled to find Paralegal roles that were suitable to my interests, and flexible with my university schedule. However, after applying to Yegal Paralegal, I was easily placed into a role that allowed me to gain practical legal experience, while balancing university commitments.

What do you enjoy reading, watching or listening to when you are not working?

I love reading self-help books – Atomic Habits by James Clear is one of my favourites!
