What is the job?
Our Corporate Counsel Client provides a wide range of IT management, project and cybersecurity services and is based in Macquarie Park. The client is looking for an enthusiastic Paralegal to join the team.
The successful candidate will assist the General Counsel and other team members to manage the legal function.
This is an ongoing engagement where you will need to be able to work on site 2-3 days per week. If during semester breaks, you can increase this to 4 or 5 days you will be viewed favourably.
Preferably you will be in your final years of your law degree, and had previous paralegal or office experience. You must have an interest in contract, commercial and IT law and being part of a business environment.

● Excellent academic results in your progression towards a Bachelor of Law

● Keen to learn and grow as a commercial lawyer
Key responsibilities:
● conducting legal research and interpreting and applying law to issues
●reviewing, revising and drafting a range of commercial and technology contracts
● assisting with our business partner arrangements
● ensuring that our systems are maintained effectively eg. legal document register
● undertaking administrative tasks relating to legal matters
● assisting in maintaining and developing processes for the legal function
● developing training programs and putting together presentations for employees.
