This is an exciting corporate services role ideal for law students seeking short term exposure to an office environment.

The client is seeking law students & graduates for a position with a firm that manages insurance claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, government bodies and self-insured organisations.

The position involves applying critical thinking to interpret insurance policies in the context of the Insurance Contract Act. Your focus will initially be on claims involving any and all of common law liability, property or travel claims.

In some instances, your role will require liaising with solicitors from external law firms.

The client is seeking law graduates with sound academics for this role, however experience with claims administration is not required. 3 days worth of training will be provided at the outset.

Day to day responsibilities:

– Provide high level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders

– End to end claims processing

– Manage daily workflow and administration support to maintain client service standards/ KPI’s

– Interpret policy wordings and apply accurately

– Identify claims issues and make recommendations to appoint lawyers as necessary

Your skills:

– Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

– Strong time management skills

– Demonstrate attention to detail

– Studying law or have completed a Law degree

The successful applicant will ideally start ASAP and work FT until at least the end of June.  Extensions may be discussed at that point though this is at the discretion of the client.
