We are looking for multiple law students/ graduates to join a leading financial services organisation for a short term project that is expected to run for 10-12 weeks starting mid-November (noting a 2 week break over Xmas where the office will close)

The Role

This is a great opportunity to gain in-house legal experience. You’ll be working for a prominent financial services firm reporting to the legal and compliance manager. The company is partnering with a leading retail chain on a new insurance offering. With the roll out of a new financial services product all associated marketing material has to be reviewed to make sure that the relevant legal disclosures are displayed. This forms the basis of the project.

You will be working from the firm’s Chatswood office alongside other compliance team members and paralegals who will be assisting. The work will be performed in the office initially, with flexible work offered once you have settled in.

Your Skills

The ideal candidate:

– has strong command of the English language

– has completed or is completing their law degree

– concurrent studies in Commerce / Marketing viewed favourably

– experience in or knowledge of misleading and deceptive conduct advantageous

– attention to detail skills

– a willingness to work as part of a team

– 4 or 5 days per week availability until at least the middle of February when the project is expected to wrap up (end date still TBC)
