THE CLIENT
This an international company with over 15 years experience operating and delivering clean energy solutions.
You will be working with one of the world leaders in the construction and management of renewable energy assets namely solar, wind and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
The client is seeking paralegal support for their legal team.
The ideal candidate is available two (2) days per week for an initial contract period of 6 months.
THE ROLE
The legal team assist the business with general commercial legal work, corporate matters, projects and project financing.
Your duties may cover any and all of:
- Document review, including supply agreements prior to execution
- Conducting research
- Updating legal records
- Preparation and editing of legal contracts and documents
- Drafting of resolutions
- Attending to lodgements with regulators
- Assisting with the document execution approval process
- Arrange document execution both electronically and in person
- Reviewing legal sign offs
- Maintaining up-to-date registers of legal documentation
- Support with compliance
The ideal candidate for this position may have previous legal experience – but training is provided at the commencement of the role.
Please note that this is an in-house corporate legal role distinct from working in a private practice law firm.
The firm is growing amid huge popularity for renewable energy at the current time.
It is reasonable to assume that paralegals who make a good impression will be asked to extend their contract.
YOUR SKILLS
• ideally 1 years’ experience in a corporate legal office environment or law firm
• strong verbal and written communication skills
• ability to work independently to meet set deadlines
• good academic standing
• experience working within cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, and the ability to motivate and mentor team members
• ability to adapt to changes in the market and regulations, and handle multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic work environment
