This month we recognise the performance of Murphy Pietranksi who we recently placed on an in-house legal project with top 5 national insurer Hollard Insurance in Sydney.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your background
I am in my third year at the University of Sydney studying a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science. I am passionate about my studies, and love to spend my free time with my friends and family.
Where were you at with your career at the point you first connected with Yegal?
I had been working in retail for 4 years, but connecting with Yegal was my first opportunity to engage in the legal industry.
Tell us about your experience with Yegal? What was the process once you applied?
I got a call very soon after applying, requesting an interview, and soon after I was told that I would be put forward to the client. The process was extremely prompt and simple. I was given guidance as to how to approach the interview, and I ended up with success on the first interview.
Since you got matched to a job, where have you been working and in what capacity?
I’ve been working for Hollard Insurance as a paralegal in the Compliance Specialist Support Team. I was initially working on a short-term project involving marketing and advertising. When that project came to an end, I was extended and have since moved into the breaches and incidents space.
What’s the best part about working for Hollard?
The best part about working for Hollard is the team and culture. There has always been a focus on learning and I have always been very well supported. Additionally, there is always variety in the work which keeps things interesting.
What advice would you give to any students thinking of applying to Yegal Paralegal?
