Our client is a company that provides independent advice/ consulting to participants in the emerging carbon credits market / renewable energy sector.
In short, this firm helps large Australian corporates act on public promises to reach ‘net zero’ (via carbon credits / emissions trading targets).
We require law student paralegals to assist with due diligence projects on an ad hoc basis.
When a corporate enterprise joins the carbon market they do so by investing in clean energy projects. The successful candidate will need to carry out due diligence on the projects subject to investment.
This is a unique opportunity to participate in a developing and highly exciting industry.
No experience is required but legal research and attention to detail are highly valued skills.
The Role:
Due Diligence work conducted on an ad hoc basis
No regular hours can be offered
Work is undertaken remotely
Assignments offered at short notice
Would suit a law student with an interest in clean energy markets and is available on average 8 hours per week (though work is not guaranteed week to week)
About You:
Fourth year or above
Good academic standing
Available for ad hoc, one / half day work projects issued at short notice
