We have an exciting opportunity for our Sydney based candidates.

This is 2 month project role with one of the leading financial services claims firms in the country.

Claims roles are a great stepping stone for uni students who have strong academics but lack corporate experience. 

The position here involves management of a portfolio of insurance claims with a focus on travel & personal injury/sports.

The successful candidate will bring time management and critical thinking skills.

No experience with claims is required with full training to be provided.

Your Duties

– Interpret policy wordings and apply them in line with the terms of the Insurance Policy.

– Make claim decisions and recommendations as necessary

– Establish adequate and accurate claims reserves

– Settle claims within company guidelines and delegated authority

– Attend internal and external training courses to enhance own professional development and technical knowledge.

About You:

-Third year or above

-Good academic standing 

-Available to work FT during August & September

While this is a short term project, past experience suggests that paralegals who make a good impression may be invited back to work on other projects in future.
